adidas Originals Archive 350 Suede – size? Exclusive
After a short delay since we first gave you a glimpse of the duo in August’s episode of The Preview (thank you for waiting patiently!) we’re proud to announce the latest addition to our size? Exclusive adidas Originals Archive collection, the 350 Suede.
Originally released exclusively in Japan in the early 1980s, the adidas 350 was part of the elusive AS series of shoes that took European silhouettes and modified them for a rapidly expanding Asian market.Manufactured in Yugoslavia and consisting of a Gazelle-like silhouette, with a transparent sole unit and leather upper borrowed from the adidas Olympia, the original 350 featured a perforated one-piece toe box that made it ideal for the warmer Asian climate.
Similar AS (short for adidas) takeovers were produced for the Gazelle Indoor (AS700), the Tobacco (AS800) and the Montreal (AS900); however it was the iconic and clean aesthetic of the 350 that made it popular with Western collectors. Re-released as part of the adidas SPEZIAL range, and now emerging from the adidas archive to size? this summer, the 350 is back in two exclusive and premium suede iterations of clay brown and dark blue. Yearned after for decades, the 350 is now available to old school obsessives and new adidas fanatics alike.
Both colourways of the size? Exclusive adidas Originals Archive 350 Suede will be available online and in all size? stores on Friday 30th September.
