Carhartt WIP Autumn/Winter ’16 Lookbook

Carhartt WIP’s latest apparel drop is part of a continuing evolution of key pieces that makes the brand so heralded in the world of streetwear today. Core pieces like the Michigan jacket, Canvas Vest and coach jacket have all been updated with clean new colourways that stay true to the workwear look.

We’ve not hit the coldest part of the year just yet, so a selection of coach jackets, half-zip pullover’s and hooded sweatshirts will keep you toasty for the time being, all very minimal in graphic application aside from a few type treatments that call out the Detroit natives.

This seasons drop includes a few capsule collections, each with a different aesthetic approach. College Standards uses heavyweight, sports inspired fabrications and bold varsity style type to call out the branding, with warm tones used throughout. Icons Revisited updates some of Carhartt’s most iconic heritage pieces with modern adaptations. Classic staples like the Michigan jacket include altered shapes, new details and experimental fabrics, while still maintaining the classic workwear aesthetic they’re renowned for. State of Play returns, taking a bolder, more graphic approach to each piece using the striped flag logo and integrating it with text and imagery this time around.
