Celebrated for it’s welcoming attitude towards diversity, Bristol has been widely recognised as acting as a cultural hub for creativity in the South-West for many years. Musically it’s given birth to acts like Massive Attack, Portishead and Roni Size, as well as nurturing both the Drum & Bass and Dubstep genres during their early years. The City’s also been a stronghold for the UK’s graffiti community, actively promoting writers and producing events to allow artists to shine on an international scale.

We took a trip down south to visit the store, complete with it’s unmissable horse-covered front due to being located on the historic Horsefair Street, and asked our staff what makes Bristol so appealing as a city.

What are some of your favourite things about Bristol? I don’t care what anyone else says, Bristol is the best city in the UK. The food, the music, the whole scene here is something special. I think that’s really recognised by the people that live here and by the people that come to visit.

Are there any good places to get something to eat in the local area? It’s hard to pick just one place but the Ramen at Sticks & Broth is delicious and so is the Caribbean spot in St.Nicks Market.

What are some of your favourite things about Bristol? I love the creative culture. I’ve met a lot of brilliant minds from different walks of life here in Bristol.

Are there any good places to get something to eat in the local area? God that’s hard, Bristol is definitely foodie heaven. Right now I’d say head to Rice and Things for some amazing authentic Jamaican cuisine, be brave and don’t just get a jerk chicken.

What have you been wearing in your footwear rotation lately? Nike Air Presto Brutal Honey, Air Trainer Huarache Low, Reebok Insta Pump Fury, Adidas EQT Guidance 93.

Any musical recommendations you’ve been listening to recently? I’ve been listening to a lot of The Internet and SZA who have beautiful vocals. And of course Young Thug’s Slime Season 2 mixtape.

What are some of your all time favourite shoes?  Nike Air Max 95 OG Neon. It reminds me of being a kid desperately trying to convince my mum to buy it for me and that it was definitely worth the money. She wasn’t having any of it so it’s kind of like the one that got away.

What do you do for fun outside of work? Any hidden talents we should know about? I love music so I tend to be mixing on my decks when I’ve got time spare.
