Nike…. “IT’S ABOUT TIME”

Picture the scene, you get a call in the middle of the night and the voice on the other end of the phone tells you you’re being whisked off to Nike HQ for a “big announcement”…….. Ok so we didn’t get the call, but our friends over at Nice Kicks did.
On arrival they were greeted by a couple of tight-lipped Nike employees who showed them to their swanky hotel room, where waiting for them on a table was a black box and an iPod Shuffle with a message from none other than Dr. Emmett Brown:
“Welcome to Los Angeles. If my calculations are correct, over the next 24 hours you are about to see some SERIOUS SH*T!”
As if the message was enough of a hint as to what this “big announcement” was, inside the box alongside a copy of Back To The Future, some ’80’s sweets and a 1985 formula bottle of Pepsi, was an “ITS ABOUT TIME” invite from head Nike designer, Tinker Hatfield and a cleverly engineered pair of metal shield glasses.
Could this be what so many of us have been hoping for for a long long time (since 1989 to be precise)…..?
